<strong><u>HALF BREAKDOWN</u></strong><br />
<strong>FIRST HALF: Purdue Northwest 0, Lewis 0</strong><br />
Purdue Northwest came out attacking early in the first 11 minutes of the contest but Doppelhofer picked up a pair of saves.
Justin Darlage (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West) was able to go on the attack trying to end the scoreless tie in the 12th minute but his shot was also saved. <br />
<br />
PNW had another scoring chance in the 15th minute after creating some space but it was scooped up by Doppelhofer.
Godwin Asore (Kumasi, Ghana/Putnam Science Academy) looked to get Lewis on the board in the 18th minute but it was saved by the Pride.<br />
<br />
The next two shots were recorded by PNW but none were on target. Revell had a scoring chance in the 33' but was unable to find the back of the net as it was saved by PNW's goalkeeper. <br />
<br />
Both teams exchanged shot on goal attempts including one by Perez in the 40th minute but it was saved.<br />
<br />
<strong>SECOND HALF: Lewis 1, Purdue Northwest 0</strong><br />
Bogers created the first scoring opportunity for both teams in the 60' to break the 0-0 tie but PNW's goalie recorded the save. PNW wasted no time trying to get on the scoreboard as the Pride recorded a shot attempt but Doppelhofer saved it. <br />
<br />
Both teams traded shot on goal attempts again in the 68' and 71' but both goalies made saves on each of the goals.
Charles Carlback (Karlskrona, Sweden/FK Karlskrona) tried for the go-ahead goal in the 73rd minute but it was saved. <br />
<br />
Lewis was able to break through in the 78th minute as Perez found an opening in the defense to record his first goal of the season. Perez tried to double the Lewis lead in the 86th minute with another shot attempt but PNW saved it. <br />
