SUMMARY
Drury jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the opening four minutes of the game, which eventually led to a double-digit advantage of 25-14 in the first quarter.

Lewis was able to cut the lead down to three midway through the second quarter after a Badali three-point play made the score 33-30. Drury would quickly respond and took an eight-point lead into halftime at 42-34.

Despite trailing by eight, Lewis shot 68.4 (13-of-19) percent from the field and 2-for-5 from behind the arc in the first 20 minutes of action.

The Flyers outshot the Panthers from the field, three-point land and the free-throw line, but the glaring stat that more than likely lead to the eight-point deficit was the turnover margin. Lewis committed 13 turnovers to Drury's four. Drury also capitalized, scoring 18 points off the Flyer turnovers, while Lewis only had four first half points off turnovers.

Midway through the third quarter, Hilber was a key contributor in sparking the Flyers' comeback as she scored a transition layup, stole an outlet pass from a Panther and managed to hit a spot-up three-pointer off a Hart assist to bring the score within one at 46-45.

The Lewis 11-4 run to start the second half was enough to swing the momentum in the Flyers' favor. Badali would later make a 3-pointer with 3:25 left in the third quarter, giving Lewis its first lead of the evening at 49-48.

Lewis was able to keep up with the undefeated GLVC Drury team for majority of the second half, until the Panthers went on a 9-3 run in the final three minutes of regulation.

Schmidt made a 3-pointer to tie the game at 69-69 with less than two minutes remaining, but Drury quickly answered back with a three of its own and sunk all four of its free throw attempts to seal the win.

For the game, Lewis shot 26-of-47 (55.3 percent) from the field and made one more than three-pointer than Drury. Despite also shooting a better percentage from the free-throw line, the Flyers' 24 turnovers were too much to overcome.
