ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- The Lewis University men's lacrosse team came away with a 19-10 victory Saturday (April 15) on Senior Day as the Flyers defeated Quincy.

QUARTER BREAKDOWN
FIRST QUARTER: Lewis 5, Quincy 1
- Lewis scored the first five goals of the contest to go up 5-0 early.
- Nate McLean (Crystal Lake, IL/Crystal Lake Central HS) started the scoring with a goal with 10:54 on the clock.
- Clement extended the lead out to 2-0 less than two minutes later.
- Luke Schroeder (Plymouth, MN/Totino-Grace HS) made it 3-0 with 8:50 left in the first quarter.
- Clement scored his second goal of the contest 30 seconds later which made it 4-0.
- Schroeder recorded his second goal of the game as well not even a minute later to make it 5-0.
- Quincy scored its lone goal of the period with 2:10 left.
SECOND QUARTER: Lewis 5, Quincy 4
- Quincy started the second quarter with a goal, which made it 5-2.
- Schroeder responded with his third goal of the contest to extend the lead to 6-2.
- QU got the next goal then Buddelmeyer went on and scored three straight for the Flyers to give them a 9-3 lead.
- Trevor Collier (Millersville, MD/Old Mill High School) made it 10-4 after scoring the last goal of the first half for Lewis.
THIRD QUARTER: Lewis 5, Quincy 2
- Clement scored his third goal of the contest, which was also the first of the second half to make it 11-5.
- Buddelmeyer found the back of the net for his fourth goal of the match, making it 12-5.
- The Hawks responded with a goal before Lewis scored three straight on goals from Tarello, Clement and Anthony Mattio (Plainfield, IL/Plainfield North HS).
- Quincy closed out the third quarter with a goal to make it 15-7 Flyers.
FOURTH QUARTER: Lewis 4, Quincy 3
- Lewis scored the first three goals of the final period after McLean, Paul Ruskoski (Tulsa, OK/Bishop Kelley HS) and Kevin Blaz (McHenry, IL/Marian Central Catholic HS) all found the back of the net.
- Quincy bounced back and scored the next three goals of the contest.
- Caden Fatzinger (Plainfield, IL/Plainfield North HS) had the final goal of the match with 1:07 left, which gave Lewis a 19-10 lead.
FINAL SCORE: Lewis 19, Quincy 10
