The lone run of the contest came in the bottom of the second after
Toni Rodriguez (Chicago, IL/Nazareth Academy) ripped a RBI single which scored
Carrie Anderson (Roscoe, IL/Hononegah Community) from second.
Delaney Garden (Carpentersville, IL/Harry D. Jacobs High School) (11-5) recorded the victory in the circle after going seven scoreless, allowing four hits, issuing one walk and striking out seven.
GAME 2: Lewis 2, SW Baptist 1
Southwest Baptist struck first in the top of the first inning to grab a early 1-0 lead.
Lewis responded in the bottom half of the frame after
Kristen Graham (Mapleton, IL/Illini Bluffs High School) hit her six home run of the season which scored Garden.
Sara Serena (Kankakee, IL/Kankakee) (3-3) picked up the win after going six innings, giving up six hits, allowing one run, walking two and striking out three.
Wuske recorded her second save of the season after pitching the seventh inning and picking up all three outs.
