MARION, Ill. - The Lewis University baseball team was eliminated from the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Saturday (May 13) with a 12-4 loss to Indianapolis.

SUMMARY
The Greyhounds picked up a pair of runs in the first inning and added another in the third inning to pull ahead 3-0.
Lewis got on the board in the bottom of the third as an
Angelo Cantelo (Blue Island, Ill./Marian Catholic) single drove home
Thomas Fox (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Christian).
Kevin Barry (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) followed with a sacrifice fly, scoring
Michael Alt (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) to make it 3-2.
The Flyers pulled ahead in the fourth inning as
Patrick Keaty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) singled home
Chris McDevitt (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) and Fox singled in
Tony Fleischauer (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic) for a 4-3 advantage.
However, it was all Greyhounds from there. They tallied three runs in the fifth inning, three in the seventh and three in the ninth to put the game away.
Fox and Fleischauer each went 2-for-3 to pace the Flyers.
Shane Gorman (Orland Park, Ill./Br. Rice) started and went four innings, allowing three runs on seven hits.
