SET BREAKDOWN vs. UC
Set 1: Lewis 25, UC 10

Lewis took advantage of six early attack errors by Charleston to take an 8-1 lead in the opening set and never looked back. The Flyers later used a 6-1 run to push the advantage to 16-4.

The Golden Eagles responded with a 3-0 run, but Lewis again took off from there. Back-to-back aces by O'Neill set the Flyers up to secure the set on an attack error by UC.

Set 2: Lewis 25, UC 19
After Lewis opened the set with three straight kills, the Golden Eagles swung back with an 8-1 push to take the lead. However, the Flyers took seven consecutive points to capture a 12-9 advantage.

Lewis rattled off five kills in a row, four by Schlechte, to make it 18-11. Both teams had a brief surge, and traded points late in the set after the score had reached 22-16, Flyers. Stenman had a kill to complete the set win.

Set 3: Lewis 25, UC 15
Charleston opened set 3 with a 3-1 run, but Lewis wouldn't stay behind for long. A 4-0 run put the Flyers ahead, 6-4.

Lewis later used a 5-0 surge to make it 12-7, followed shortly after by a 7-1 outburst that pushed the lead to 20-10. A kill by Juliana Van Loo (Burbank, Calif./John Burroughs) secured the match win and sweep for the Flyers.

SET BREAKDOWN vs. UWF
Set 1: Lewis 25, UWF 22

West Florida started the match strong with a 6-1 advantage early. The teams went back-and-forth for a while until the Argonauts' lead was 13-7.

Then, Lewis got hot with a 6-1 run to trim the deficit to just one point. The Flyers took their first lead with another 6-1 push that made it 21-19.

After more back-and-forth play, Van Loo sealed the first set for Lewis with a kill.

Set 2: UWF 25, Lewis 22
The Flyers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second set, but West Florida pushed ahead with a 6-1 run immediately after.

The teams traded short runs until the score was 13-12 UWF, when the Argonauts secured three straight points to gain some breathing room.

Later in the set, a 4-0 surge made it 24-18 West Florida. Lewis fought back with a 4-0 run of its own, but fell short when a kill by the Argonauts ended the set.

Set 3: UWF 25, Lewis 19
West Florida had the longest run of the match for either side to open the third set, going up 9-0. The Flyers made a statement response, however, getting back to within one point at 13-12.

Unfortunately for Lewis, UWF would slowly pull away from that point. A 3-0 run for the Argonauts put the set away.

Set 4: UWF 25, Lewis 23
The two sides traded points to start, until the score stood 4-4. West Florida then took seven of the next 10 points to secure an 11-7 lead.

The Flyers fought back, though, with eight of the next 11 points to snatch a slim 15-14 advantage. The Argonauts responded with three straight points, and never trailed again.

UWF reached match point at 24-21, but back-to-back attack errors gave Lewis the next two points. A kill by Avery Rodgers secured the match victory for West Florida.
