ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis University men's soccer team drew against Northern Michigan 0-0 Thursday (Sept. 7) in the Flyers final nonconference match at Lewis Stadium.

HALF BREAKDOWN
FIRST HALF: Northern Michigan 0, Lewis 0
Lewis attacked early after recording three shots in the first 15 minutes but they were all off target. NMU looked to attack off the rebound, drove the field and recorded a shot on goal in the 17th minute but it was saved by Doppelhofer.
Perez looked to give Lewis the lead after driving the field in the 22nd minute but NMU's goalkeeper saved it. The Flyers had a pair of shots the rest of the half by Stampley and
Godwin Asore (Kumasi, Ghana/Putnam Science Academy).
SECOND HALF: Northern Michigan 0, Lewis 0
Lewis recorded a pair of shots on goal in the 55th and 56th minute by
Robert Gorodnickis (Riga, Latvia/Riga) and Stampley. The Flyers had a prime scoring opportunity in the 59th as
Justin Darlage (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West) had a penalty kick but the Wildcats' goalie saved it.
Perez tried to put Lewis on the scoreboard in the 82nd minute but his shot was saved. NMU had a scoring chance in the 88th minute but Doppelhofer picked up the save.
