LAST WEEK IN WOMEN'S SOCCER

  • The women's soccer team faced off against Southwest Baptist on Oct. 4 and won 2-1.

  • Within the first period of the game, Lewis very quickly made two goals against Southwest Baptist thanks to Melisa Hadzic (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South) and Breanna Culver (Roscoe, Ill./Wisconsin-Milwaukee).

  • During the end of the second period, Southwest Baptist managed to score their first goal, however, there was hardly any time left in the game and Lewis won a solid 2-1 victory.

  • The second game the women's team played was on Oct 6 versus Rockhurst and Lewis lost 1-0.

LAST WEEK IN MEN'S SOCCER

  • The men's soccer game against Southwest Baptist on Oct. 4 ended in a decisive 3-0 victory for Lewis.

  • The men's team wasted no time getting down to business and scored twice in the first half of the period with goals from Arturs Gorodnickis (Riga, Latvia/Riga), Cristan Perez and Erik Alqvist (Helsingborg, Sweden/Hittarps IK Football Club)

  • The men also faced Rockhurst University Sunday, Oct. 6 and won 1-0. Asore managed to score the goal.

LAST WEEK IN WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

  • The Lewis University women's volleyball team recorded a huge 3-2 victory against Rockhurst Friday Oct. 4. Lewis honored Natalie Stefanski (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet West) before the contest for achieving 1,000 career digs during her tenure with the program.

  • The women's volleyball faced William Jewell on Oct. 5 and won it all in a decisive 3-0 victory. Bella Ray (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet Catholic) was honored before the match for 1,000 kills.
