Lewis Men's Basketball Falls To No. 25 Ferris State Wednesday

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lewis University men's basketball team fell to No. 25 Ferris State 89-66 Wednesday (Nov. 13) in a regional crossover game.

GAME SUMMARY
Ferris State scored the first nine points of the game before Stroud got the Flyers on the board at the 15:20 mark of the first half. Trailing 15-6, Lewis went on a 6-0 run to cut the deficit to 15-12 with 11 minutes left in the half.

Lewis made it all the way back to even the score at 23-23 on a Sydnor three-pointer and then took the lead on a Stroud three-pointer at the 6:56 mark in the half. That was the beginning of 11 straight points from Stroud for the Flyers as he helped them claim a 34-28 lead with 4:58 left in the half. The Bulldogs would come back to even the score at 38-38 at the half.

The two teams traded baskets to open the second half before an 11-2 run gave the Bulldogs a 51-42 lead. Lewis would bring the lead back to six points, but Ferris State went on a 15-5 run to take control of the game at 69-53 midway through the second half.

Lewis would get no closer than 12 points the remainder of the contest.
