HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Springfield 3, Lewis 0

The game began with Illinois Springfield making the first move with a shot on goal that was saved by Graziosi. Lewis gained possession and retaliated back with a shot on goal by Larson that was saved by Springfield's goalkeeper.

The Prairie Stars continued this back and forth play by taking shots with one saved by Graziosi. However, Springfield was able to get past Graziosi and scored their first goal to put the game at 1-0. The Prairie Stars were able to follow this goal up with another not five minutes later and Lewis was faced with a 2-0 deficit.

Throughout the remainder of the first half Lewis was unable to get any momentum of their own. Meanwhile things took a dire turn when the Prairie Stars scored another goal with less than five minutes left on the clock and Lewis ended the first half at a 3-0 disadvantage.

Second Half: Springfield 0, Lewis 0
Starting the second half, Lewis took the ball and attempted to climb out of the hole they were in. A shot was made by Maggie Maher (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) and then the Prairie Stars gained the ball and took some shots.

Graziosi was able to save a shot on goal that came her way, while Melisa Hadzic (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South), Culver, Aguilar, and Isabella Vargas (Aurora, Ill./West Aurora) all took shots to try to come back. Unfortunately, the Flyers were just not able to get past the defense of Illinois Springfield and they lost their final game of the season 3-0.

Final Score: Springfield 3, Lewis 0

The Lewis Women's Soccer team would like to thank their family, friends, and the fans for their continuous support throughout the season.
