GAME SUMMARY
The Wildcats started off Saturday nights game very hot from beyond the arc hitting three threes in the first four minutes giving Northern Michigan a ten point lead for a sizable portion of the first quarter. Gabrielle Hoover hit the first point of the game for the Flyers off a jumper in the paint. Ally Cesarini (La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township) would score two off the fast break but Lewis would continue to turn the ball over in the first.

The Flyers kept the second quarter closer than the first only being outscored by three combined to ten in the first. Ciera McNamee was good from three with Badali hitting one herself not long after. Both teams turned the ball over and slowed down a bit during the middle portion of the quarter but a layup from Cesarini and a free throw from Gugliuzza brought the Flyers within ten. Lewis battled to close the gap before halftime but at the buzzer they head into the locker room down 34-21.

Lewis came out of halftime more energized and actually outscored Northern Michigan for the rest of the game. Hoover started the second half with a three to bring the Flyers within ten. Cesarini off a jump shot and Gugliuzza from the line brought Lewis closer. The Flyers held the Wildcats to 12 points in the third quarter with strong defense and cutting off the transition threes Northern Michigan had a healthy diet off in the first half.

After holding the Wildcats to 12 in the third quarter, Lewis held their opponent to only 7 points in the fourth and they looked to mount a comeback in the final ten minutes. A steal by McNamee and an eventual layup from her as well start off the fourth quarter for the Flyers. There was no scoring from either side for nearly four minutes until Badali hit a three to bring Lewis within triple digits. The Flyers got into foul trouble and the Wildcats held on just long enough for the clock to run out with a final score of 53-48.
