INDIANAPOLIS – The Lewis University women's cross country team was voted as the top choice in the preseason coaches' poll to win the 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) women's cross country title, the league office announced on Friday (August 23). The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.
The Flyers received 196 total points to go along with fourteen first place votes. Lewis returns six all-GLVC runners this season in
Hannah Smrcka (Cory, Penn.),
Caroline Pacer-Ryan (Wheaton, IL/West Chicago),
Anna Kozak (Lockport, IL/Lockport Township),
Kate Guderjan (Frankfort, IL/Lincolnway East),
Naylah Allen (Oswego, Ill./Oswego East), and
Madilyn Calloway (Rochester, IN/Rochester Community).
