LAST WEEK IN WOMEN'S SOCCER
-
The women's soccer team faced off against Upper Iowa on Sept. 20 for a Great Lakes Valley Conference but ended up losing 2-1.
-
Upper Iowa scored the first goal in the starting half to put the score at 1-0.
-
During the second half, Upper Iowa scored another goal to put their lead ahead further at 2-0.
-
Breanna Culver (Roscoe, Ill./Wisconsin-Milwaukee) managed to give Lewis a chance by scoring during the second half to put the game at 2-1.
-
Lewis was not able to score on a penalty kick and could not tie the game.
LAST WEEK IN MEN'S SOCCER
-
The men's soccer team went up against Upper Iowa as well on Sept. 20 and they tied 1-1.
-
Once again, Upper Iowa were the first and only to score in the opening half to put the score at 1-0.
-
During the second half, after some unsuccessful shots on the goal, Arturs Gorodnickis (Riga, Latvia/Riga) found an opening and scored for Lewis to tie the game at 1-1.
-
Neither team managed to get ahead of the other during the second half and the game ended in a tie.

On Sept. 22, the men's team also faced Roosevelt with this game ending in another tie at 2-2.
-
The first half was quite eventful with Lewis starting off strong scoring two goals, one by Mikey Revell (Largo, Maryland/Bishop McNamara) and Godwin Asore (Kumasi, Ghana/Putnam Science Academy) at 2-0.

Roosevelt fired back and scored their own goal to put the score at 2-1.
-
Roosevelt, during the second half, got another goal via a successful penalty kick to tie the game at 2-2.
-
Attempts by Lewis were made to try to win the game but they ended up tying Roosevelt 2-2.
LAST WEEK IN WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

The women's volleyball team played two games on Sept. 20 and Sept. 21.
-
On Sept. 20, the team faced off against Molloy University and Adelphi University in NY with a clean sweep in both games of 3-0.
-
On Sept. 22, the women's team first faced off against Bentley University in NY but lost 3-1.
-
The following game saw them face Queens College where they won 3-1.
