Ziermann recorded the first shot in goal in the contest in the sixth minute of the game. Purdue Northwest came back with the next three shots on goal with the third finding the back of the net at the 26:34 mark to make it 1-0 Pride.

The Flyers came back on the attack in the 36
th minutes as they got a pair of corner kicks and a shot on goal by Rogalski. That would be the last shot registered by either team in the first half.

The Pride came right out on the attack to open the second half, registering a shot that was turned away by Doppelhofer in the first minute, leading to a corner kick.

Lewis recorded its first shot on goal in the 58
th minute by Somerfield, but it too was turned away. The Flyers turned up the pressure in the final 10 minutes of the game with three corner kicks and three shots, but could not find the equalizer.
