INDIANAPOLIS -- The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced Monday (Jan. 13) that Devon Vanderheydt (Washington, Ill./Washington) was awarded GLVC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance against Upper Iowa on Thursday, January 9. 

Vanderheydt led the Flyers to a 105-89 victory against Upper Iowa, where the senior recorded a double-double after scoring 24 points on 8-13 shooting (62 percent), 3-6 from resounding (50 percent), and perfect from the charity stripe 6-6 while also grabbing a season-high 12 rebounds. The senior also dished out four assists, leading to baskets and recording one steal. 

Lewis will be back in action Thursday, January 16, as the Flyers travel to Liberty, Missouri, to take on the William Jewell Cardinals starting at 7:30 p.m.
