Romeoville, Ill. -- The Lewis University women's cross country team put together a dominant showing on their home course at the Lewis Crossover on Saturday, October 11th, finishing second overall in a competitive 36-team field.
Junior Mary Edwards (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) led the Flyers with a seventh-place finish, clocking 21:32.13 over the 6K course. Senior Josephine Bober (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) followed close behind in eighth at 21:45.79, while senior Madilyn Calloway (Rochester, Ind./Rochester Community) claimed 13th with a time of 21:54.35. Senior Kate Guderjan (Frankfort, Ill./Lincolnway East) and junior Katie Melzer (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville) rounded out the scoring lineup with strong efforts of 22:31.85 and 22:34.15.Â
