Elkhart, Ind. -- For day three of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships, The Lewis men's and women's swimming teams put up a solid performance in the 400 Yard Medley Relay and the 400 yard IM on Thursday (Feb. 13). 

Starting off with the men's team, Nico Jacinto (Caloocan, Philippines/Texas A&M University), River Streefland (Nootdorp, Netherlands/Lycecum Ypenburg), Davidson Vincent (Thomonde, Haiti/Westlake Preparatory School) and Matt Howard (Tamarin, Mauritius/Westcoast International) finished in fifth place with a time of 3:13.22 in the 400 Yard Medley Relay. For the women's, Amelia Marsicek (Centennial, Colo./Regis Jesuit), Maria Kretosz (Katowice, Poland/AWF Katowice), Morgan Vis (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) and Larissa Bueno Alves (Brazil, Panama/Colegio De La Salle) finished in sixth place with a time of 3:52.80 in the 400 Yard Medley Relay. With day three in the books the men's team is currently sitting in fifth place overall and the women's team is in fifth place as well.

Alves made it on the podium in the 400 Yard IM finishing in eighth place with a time of 4:24.10 capping off day three for the Flyers.
