#13 Lewis Men’s Lacrosse Records Dominant Win Against Tiffin Tuesday

TIFFIN, Ohio -- The Lewis University men's lacrosse team defeated Tiffin 23-2 at Paradiso Turf Field on Tuesday (Feb. 25).

GAME SUMMARY
FIRST QUARTER: Lewis 9, Tiffin 0
Lewis scored the first nine goals in the contest, including every score in the opening period, to jump to a 9-0 lead. Ruskoski was the first one to find the back of the net to make it 1-0.
 
31 seconds later, McCann found Rappis for an opening to make it 2-0. Rappis was able to locate Good at the 7:22 mark for the goal to extend the lead out to 3-0. 
 
McCann found the back of the net himself after receiving the pass from Dalep for the goal with 6:40 left in the first. Dalep scored himself to with 3:53 remaining, giving the Flyers a 5-0 lead.
 
Domenic Tarello (Libertyville, Illinois/Libertyville HS) made it 6-0 after winning the face-off, took it all the way, and scored six seconds later. Luke Schroeder (Plymouth, Minnesota/Totino-Grace HS) and McCann both took it themselves with the following two goals 28 seconds apart to give Lewis an 8-0 lead. 
 
Michael Metheny (Fishers, Indiana/Hamilton Southeastern HS) found Schroeder in the final 38 seconds as Schroeder found the back of the net for a 9-0 advantage. 
 
SECOND QUARTER: Lewis 7, Tiffin 1
Lewis began the second quarter with the first three goals, bringing the lead to 12-0. In the opening 1:17 of the second quarter, Dalep scored his second tally after receiving Good's pass to make it 10-0. 
 
Xan Hayes (Leonardtown, Maryland/Leonardtown HS) found Good 35 seconds later to extend it to 11-0. Dominic Bravata (Portage, Michigan/Portage Northern HS) entered the stat sheet for the Flyers after passing it into Rappis for his second goal of the contest to make it 12-0.
 
Tiffin got on the scoreboard and scored its first goal at 10:56 in the second. Lewis tacked on four more goals the rest of the second quarter, giving the Flyers a 16-1 lead at halftime.
 
Suchy found Jackson Marindin (White Hall, Maryland/The John Carroll School) 11 seconds later, making it 13-1. Kevin Blaz (McHenry, Illinois/Marian Central Catholic HS) fed it inside to McCann for the score, making it 14-1. 
 
Rappis picked up his second assist of the contest after tossing it into Hayes for the score for a 15-1 lead. Good picked up a hat trick after scoring his third goal in the closing seconds of the first half, which gave Lewis the 16-1 advantage.
 
THIRD QUARTER: Lewis 6, Tiffin 0
Lewis scored all six goals of the third quarter while keeping Tiffin off the scoreboard. Good picked up a point after finding Ruskoski for the score to extend the lead to 17-1. 
 
Leo Dunlap (Omaha, Nebraska/Creighton Preparatory HS) won the ensuing faceoff, took it all the way, and found the back of the net for the goal, making it 18-1. Max Anderson (Prior Lake, Minnesota/Prior Lake HS) recorded the next pair of goals for the Flyers after scoring at the 11:48 and 7:46 marks in the third to make it 20-1. 
 
Lewis extended the lead out to 21-1 after Nick Sheedy (Rosemount, Minnesota/Rosemount HS) located Zach Buddelmeyer (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro HS) for the score with 5:52 remaining in the third.  Ruskoski would throw it into Dalep for the hat trick, giving Lewis a 22-1 lead. 

FOURTH QUARTER: Lewis 1, Tiffin 1
Tiffin scored the fourth quarter's first goal, which made it 22-2 in favor of the Flyers. Titus Chapman (Knoxville, Tennessee/Farragut HS) found Ruskoski with less than a minute remaining in the contest for the goal to make it 23-2-.

FINAL SCORE: Lewis 23, Tiffin 2
