INDIANAPOLIS -- The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced that Jordane Dookie (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago/St. Joseph's Convent Port-of-Spain) has been named GLVC Freshman of the Year. Dookie is the third Lewis freshman to receive the award.
 
Dookie was the primary No. 1 singles player for Lewis this season, recording nine wins overall and three in conference. Dookie and her doubles partner, Sofiia Vdovychenko (Kyiv, Ukraine/Arkansas State), won 11 matches overall and three in conference.

In addition to being the GLVC Freshman of the Year, Dookie was named to the All-GLVC First Team. The freshman was also the GLVC Women's Tennis James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Honoree.
