"We are absolutely thrilled to receive the NCAA Coaching Enhancement Grant," said Assistant Vice President for Athletics John Ashaolu. "This incredible opportunity allows us to bring on our first-ever head strength and conditioning coach; an essential addition that will directly impact the performance, development, and long-term success of our student-athletes. This investment reflects our unwavering commitment to elevating the student-athlete experience—on the field, in the weight room and beyond.  We're excited for what this means for our Flyers, and we thank the NCAA for believing in our vision for the future."

The NCAA Division II Coaching Enhancement Grant will provide funding to a deserving candidate for a five-year commitment to support the strength and conditioning of athletes. The Division II Coaching Enhancement Grant was restructured to better support member schools' needs in creating full-time coaching positions in any of the 24 NCAA-sponsored sports.

"The addition of a dedicated strength and conditioning coach marks a significant step forward for Lewis Athletics," Senior Associate Athletic Director Jen Janczak said. "This role is crucial in supporting our student-athletes' performance, reducing injury risks and fostering a culture of excellence across all our programs. We're excited about the positive impact this will have on our teams' competitiveness and overall well-being."
