Romeoville, Ill. - Assistant Vice President For Athletics
John Ashaolu announced Aaron Richardson as the first head flag football coach in Lewis athletics history Monday afternoon.
"We are excited to welcome Aaron Richardson as the first head flag football coach in Lewis University history" Ashaolu said. "Aaron brings valuable experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, along with a proven ability to build programs, develop student-athletes, and foster a positive, competitive culture. As we launch this new program, it was important to find a leader who understands how to grow the game, connect with prospective student-athletes, and represent Lewis with integrity. We're confident Aaron is the right person to establish a strong foundation for Lewis Flag Football and position the program for long-term success."
Richardson joins the Flyers after coaching at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa since 2025. In 2025, Richardson led the Yellowjackets to their first-ever winning season, finishing 13–9, and secured the program's first appearance in the KCAC Conference Tournament.
