Flyers Fight Against the Blue Tigers

JEFFERSON CITY, MO.- Lewis University played faced Lincoln University of Missouri on Thursday, February 5 at The Linc Recreation and Wellness Center. The Blue Tigers took the win at 84-68. 
 
IMPACT PLAUERS
Cale Cosme (Chicago, Ill./Brother Rice) and Arius Alijosius (Riverside, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) led the Flyers with a total of 20 points each. Cosme also led with 7 rebounds. As for the Blue Tigers, Tyler Chapman led with a total of 34 points and Matthieu Biembongo had 13 rebounds.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lewis Struck first with a three pointer from Ryan Hall (Kettering, Ohio/Kettering Fairmont). After only 2 minutes, the Blue Tigers were able to take their lead and secure some points. Although the Flyers almost caught their tail, they were never able to fully gain the lead in the first half and the Blue Tigers lead at 45-36.
 
The Blue Tigers were able to take a 10-point lead early in the second half. The Flyers fought back and closed their gap by only seven points with 12 minutes to play. With around five minutes left in the half, the Blue Tigers strung along even more points, and the Flyers were not able to recover. The Blue Tigers took the game at 84-68.
