Dodie Dunson Jr. announced the addition of Nessa Walsh to his staff as an assistant coach.
Walsh joins the Flyers following an extensive collegiate playing career that included stops at Winthrop University, Purdue Northwest, the University of Alaska Anchorage, and Oakton College.
Most recently, Walsh spent the 2025-26 season at Winthrop, where she was sidelined due to injury. Before her time with the Eagles, she had a standout season at Purdue Northwest (2024-2025). Walsh appeared in 25 games and made 22 starts. She averaged 9.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game, while shooting .406 from the field. Walsh reached double figures in scoring 11 times and recorded a season-high 21 points against Lake Superior State.
Walsh began her collegiate career at Oakton College, where she developed into one of the top all-around players in NJCAA Division II. A two-time First Team All-Region IV selection, Walsh started 60 of 61 games and helped lead the Owls to a combined 49-12 record and back-to-back NJCAA Division II Region IV title game appearances.
The Chicago, Illinois, native was a multi-sport athlete at St. Joseph High School, competing in volleyball, softball, and soccer. She earned Second Team All-State honors and was named First Team All-Conference.
