Romeoville, Ill. - Lewis University Assistant Vice President of Athletics
John Ashaolu has named Ben Stacy as the new Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities.
"Ben is someone who understands that behind every successful athletics department is a strong operations team," Ashaolu said. "He has a servant-leader mentality, takes pride in doing things the right way, and is committed to creating a first-class experience for our student-athletes, coaches and fans. Just as importantly, he's someone who fits our culture. We're excited to welcome him to Lewis Athletics and look forward to what he'll bring to our department as we continue to move forward together and Fly As One."
Stacy joins Lewis after working with the Oak Lawn Park District in various roles since 2022. With Oak Lawn, Stacy oversaw 150-plus programs split between the ice arena and aquatics center while managing a staff of around 25 members in each area. The Chesterton, Indiana native adjusted yearly budgets between both areas while planning special events, such as the annual Turkey Shoot. On the ice, Stacy oversaw the frontend and backend operations of the arenas figure skating exhibitions and managed the SSAHL Co-Ed Hockey League. Stacy also and oversaw the Student Teachers Volunteer Program and coordinated rentals for both the pool and splash pad as well while with Oak Lawn.
From November 2021 through July 2022 Stacy served as the athletic coordinator for the Village of Romeoville. With the Village of Romeoville, Stacy collaborated in the preparation and execution of on-site events with upwards of 200 athletes and visitors in attendance. He also led and supervised multiple sports clinics and facilities. Stacy oversaw various leagues for sports such as basketball, softball and soccer while ensuing the welfare and success of both the athletes and leagues.

Stacy attended North Central College from 2017-2021 where he was a member of the men's volleyball program. He earned his degree in sports management from the college.
