Biography

Goolsby-Schoenfeld has been coaching track and field at Reavis High School as well as teaching mathematics for 29 years. She has coached cross-country the past 27 years.

She started as an assistant coach before being promoted to head coach in both sports. During her tenure, Goolsby-Schoenfeld has coached seven conference championships in cross-country and has had top-three finishes in the last six years.

She has won the South Suburban Conference (SSC) Coach of the Year award five times in cross-country and twice in track and field, as well as Reavis Female Coach of the Year four times. Prior to coaching, Goolsby-Schoenfeld was a letter-winner at Lewis University for the cross-country and track and field programs and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics.

During her time coaching at Reavis, Goolsby-Schoenfeld coached and mentored a student athlete who qualified for the Olympic Time Trials in the 10,000-meter run. 

During her freshman season in 1990, Lewis women's cross country won the GLVC (Great Lakes Valley Conference) Championships as Goolsby-Schoenfeld placed 10th overall which earned her GLVC all-conference honors. During her senior campaign, she finished first at the Stevens Point Invite, which provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in the 1500 meter race. In that same season, she was a member of the 4x800 relay team that broke the school record. 

Goolsby-Schoenfeld earned her Master's Degree in Education Curriculum in 2002 from Lewis University.

Goolsby-Schoenfeld is married to Kevin Schonfeld and the couple have one daughter, Kaylee.
