Davis Johnson was announced as an Assistant Coach in August 2026.
Johnson previously played for Lake Land College for two years under Julio Godinez. After, he attended Eastern Illinois University to complete his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

In 2024, Johnson opened J3 Training Academy, an indoor baseball/softball training facility.

Johnson was also an assistant coach at Lake Land College from 2024-2026 working alongside Godinez. He helped lead the team to their first World Series appearance in 30 years, where they finished in fourth place. While at Lake Land, they moved 16 players to the DI level, and 44 players across all levels.
