2011 Highlights: Recipient of Lewis' Delahanty Award for academic excellence among student athletes and named Academic All-GLVC...started six games (five at first base and one at designated hitter) before suffering a season ending injury... had two hits vs. Mary (Feb. 28)...singled vs. Grand Valley State (March 3) and vs. Gannon (March 5)...had an RBI at Christian Brothers (March 12).

2010 Highlights: Delahanty Award recipients...suffered season-ending injury seven games into the season...before injury, played in seven games with six starts at designated hitter...doubled and singled in game one vs. Hillsdale (Feb. 26)...singled and scored in game two vs. Hillsdale (Feb. 26), vs. Findlay (Feb. 27) and vs. West Virginia Wesleyan (March 5)...singled twice, walked and scored a run vs. Findlay (March 2).

2009 Highlights (at Butler University): Started 13 games...collected 10 hits and knocked in six runs.

Prep/Personal: Earned all-conference honors in 2007 and 2008, as well as all-area honorable mention...as a junior, batted .367 with seven home runs and 68 RBI while helping his team to a regional championships...helped his summer league team to a 30-1 record and the state championship in 2007...he hit .607, slugged .700 and hit four home runs...lettered three seasons as a forward on the basketball team...team captain...also a member of the chess team...National Honor Society member...son of Larry and Francine Kaffel...special education major.
