Former UW-Milwaukee standout Ryan Haggerty enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Lewis University men's basketball team.
Haggerty's duties include: recruiting, academics, strength and conditioning, scouting, game preparation and on-court coaching.
Haggerty played for the Panthers from 2008-13 and appeared in over 110 games in his career. The Glen Ellyn, Ill., native, who was named team captain as a senior, helped the Panthers to the 2010-11 Horizon League regular-season championship.
During his time on the Milwaukee campus, Haggerty served as both a camp counselor and as an athletics department tutor. As a senior, he was an active member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was a Milwaukee Panther Scholar-Athlete.
Haggerty is pursuing his masters degree in business administration at Lewis.
