Juana Mafla Cetares

Juana Mafla is in her 3rd season with the Lewis men's and women's swimming program, the past two seasons she was a Graduate Assistant Coach and this 22-23 season she will be helping the flyers as a Business Manager/Assistant Coach. 

Earned her Master of Business Analytics with a concentration in marketing at Lewis this past spring.

Juana attended Emmanuel College from 2017-2019, honor graduated bachelor's degree in Business Administration, management. In her swimming career she finished 1st place in the 1650 free, and 2nd place in 1000 free and 500 free at Carolinas Conference Championships 2019, helping the women’s team finish first in conference her last year as a team captain. She was a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society, part of the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll’s list, and Dean's List for her time at EC.

Before swimming at EC she went to Oklahoma Baptist University from 2016-2017 where she also was named Bison of the week her freshman year. 

Born in Cali, Colombia. She started her swimming career in 2008, was part of the Colombian national swim team in 2013, and from 2012-2015 she was a member of the Valle swim team before the move to the US in 2016.
