Timothy O'Neill rejoins Lewis after serving as the program's assistant coach during the 2023-24 season where he helped lead the teams to their best finishes in the program history. Â
In his first year as head coach, the team achieved 42 NCAA Qualifying times and 5 school records as they are headed into nationals. Prior to Lewis, O'Neill spent nearly a decade in finance and always kept swimming around him, holding several roles in the community teaching swim lessons and directing aquatics.Â
O'Neill swam at UMass from 2009-2013. O'Neill was in the top 10 All-Time at UMass in the 100 fly and was part of three Atlantic 10 team Conference Championships. Before the collegiate competition, O'Neill was a part of the Bluefish Swim Club where he swam under coach Chuck Batchelor, breaking multiple LSC records.  Â
The North Easton, Mass. native had his high school career at Oliver Ames High School.  O'Neill holds a bachelor's degree in economics from UMass in 2015 and a Master of Business Administration from Bryant University in 2021.Â
