Interim Mens & Womens Swim Coach

Tim O'Neill

Timothy O'Neill rejoins Lewis after serving as the program's assistant coach during the 2023-24 season where he helped lead the teams to their best finishes in the program history.

In his first year as head coach, the team achieved 42 NCAA Qualifying times and 5 school records as they are headed into nationals. Prior to Lewis, O'Neill spent nearly a decade in finance and always kept swimming around him, holding several roles in the community teaching swim lessons and directing aquatics.

O'Neill swam at UMass from 2009-2013. O'Neill was in the top 10 All-Time at UMass in the 100 fly and was part of three Atlantic 10 team Conference Championships. Before the collegiate competition, O'Neill was a part of the Bluefish Swim Club where he swam under coach Chuck Batchelor, breaking multiple LSC records.

The North Easton, Mass. native had his high school career at Oliver Ames High School.  O'Neill holds a bachelor's degree in economics from UMass in 2015 and a Master of Business Administration from Bryant University in 2021.
