Mallory Winters

Mallory Winters is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Lewis softball program.

Prior to coming to Lewis, Winters spent six years working with Next College Student-Athlete (NCSA) in Chicago. Most recently she served as an account manager and point of contact for club/high school coaches and athletes utilizing the NCSA Team Edition software. Winters also oversaw the onboarding and training for new coaches utilizing the software and assisted in group training webinars for athletes on those teams. Along with day-to-day management, she was involved in Marketing strategy for acquiring amd nurturing new coaches and creating and maintaining engagement with paid clients. Winters also worked closely with Product and Developers to implement overall product updates, communicate those updates to users and identify bugs or inefficiencies within the platform to better serve coaches and athletes.

Prior to that, she worked five years at NCSA as a senior recruiting coordinator for sales. She was the first point of interaction for perspective clients of NCSA's recruiting services. she was primarily responsible for acting to first qualify families based on minimum requirements for college coaches, while also educating on the necessary steps and urgency to be successful in navigating the recruiting process. Winters also participated in on-site recruiting events with large softball partners and acted as a speaker and recruiting expert on multiple opportunities.

On the diamond, she served as an assistant coach with the OC Batbusters where she worked with outfielders, catchers and hitters in an instructing role. She oversaw the recruiting progress for multiple teams and assisted in recruiting strategy check-ins with individual players. Prior to joining the Batbusters, she was an assistant coach with the Illinois Vipers for four years where she assisted in development of practice plans and implementation of drills for the 16 under - 18 under competitive softball team.

Winters played collegiately at Butler University where she was a four-year starter at catcher and was named as an assistant captain as a sophomore. She finished in career hitting nine home runs, 12 doubles and drove in 54 runs. She graduated Cum Laude from Butler with a bachelor's degree in Electronic Media in August of 2012.
