Charnelle Reed enters her first season as an assistant coach for Lewis University.
Reed played two seasons under current head coach Samantha Quigley-Smith at the University of St. Francis (Ill.) in Joliet. While there, Reed helped the Fighting Saints to an undefeated regular-season (31-0) and a berth in the NAIA Final Four in 2017.
She was a two-year captain for the Fighting Saints and scored over 1,000 points from 2015-17. For her efforts, Reed was named a NAIA and WBCA First Team All-American in 2017.
Prior to her arrival in Joliet, Reed played at two different Division I institutions, including Western Illinois (2012-13) and Bradley University (2013-15).
