Lewis University Athletics

John McGinty is in his second year as the Compliance Assistant at Lewis. In 2014-15 he was added to the women's basketball staff as an assistant coach.
 
McGinty joined the athletic department in 2012 after completing his undergraduate degree in sports studies with an emphasis in sports management at the University of Iowa in May 2012.
 
As part of the Athletics Compliance office, McGinty helps the Flyers’ Athletic Department maintain a good standing in the NCAA Division II rules and regulations as well as deal with eligibility and amateurism of the student-athletes.
 
McGinty is also an assistant varsity boys’ basketball coach at St. Laurence High School, in Burbank, Ill.. He also helped with the Viking freshman boys' team.
 
While at Lewis, McGinty is pursuing his master’s degree in organizational leadership with an emphasis in higher education.
