Lewis University Head Women's Basketball Coach Keisha Newell has announced the hiring of Maia Marshall as the graduate assistant coach for the next two years.

Marshall joins Lewis after spending the last two seasons playing women's basketball at Harris Stowe University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she was the team captain. During her time with Harris-Stowe, she inducted into the National Honor Society, was named 2021 Provost Academic Honorable Mention Team.

Marshall was also a 2022 AMC Women's Basketball Academic All-Conference recipient. She was also helped the team to the 2022 AMC Champions of Character Award. 

Prior to playing collegiately, Marshall was a standout basketball player at St. Joseph High School in Westchester, Illinois where broke the all-time scoring record with 1,331 points.

Marshall currently resides in Westmont, Illinois pursuing her Master's Degree at Lewis.
