Tyler McCormick Headshot Evansville

Tyler McCormick

Tyler McCormick is entering his second season with the Lewis Flyers women’s basketball program as assistant coach and has been promoted to Recruiting Coordinator under Head Coach Dodie Dunson II.

In the 2025-26 season, McCormick helped Lewis post an 18-12 overall record, including a 13-7 mark in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, and earn a postseason berth in the GLVC Tournament. Lewis also posted one of the longest winning streaks by any GLVC women’s basketball team that season with 10+ consecutive victories.

Lewis had three All-Conference selections, including First Team and Second Team honorees, while Ally Cesarini was named Defensive Player of the Year — the first player in program history to earn that distinction.

McCormick joined Lewis after one season at University of Evansville as an women’s basketball assistant coach. Prior to that, he spent two years on the men’s basketball staff at Pittsburg State University, where he focused on scouting, player development, academics, community service, and graphics/social media strategy.

Before Pittsburg State, McCormick was a student assistant for three years at Missouri Southern State University, assisting with practices, film, analytics, and equipment management.

A native of Colfax, McCormick earned his bachelor’s degree from Missouri Southern State and his master’s degree from Pittsburg State.
