Ashleigh Ellenwood enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Lewis University women's soccer team.
Ellenwood came to Romeoville following a standout career as a forward at the University of Arkansas. She is responsible for team training, recruiting, video analysis, organizing travel and community service projects.
The Michigan City, Ind., native left Fayetteville as a two-time All Southeastern Conference selection and owns the program single-season record for game winning goals with six in 2013.
Upon graduation, Ellenwood was second in Arkansas school-history with 23 assists, third in points (83) and fourth in goals (30). She was rewarded by being the first Arkansas player in school-history to be drafted by a professional U.S. team, as the Chicago Red Stars took her 39th overall in the 2016 amateur draft.
Ellenwood was solid academically, as she was selected to the 2014 CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team as a junior.
Ellenwood resides in Romeoville and is pursuing her MBA.
