Sanabria's OT Goal Lifts Men's Soccer Over Quincy, 2-1

QUINCY - Justin Sanabria scored his fifth goal of the season 5:46 into overtime Friday to give the 12th-ranked Lewis University men's soccer team a 2-1, come-from-behind victory over Great Lakes Valley Conference rival Quincy.

Sanabria was assisted by TIto Lara, whose fourth goal of the season (Cathal Brady assist) tied the game at the 68:28 mark.

Quincy (7-4-3, 5-1-1 GLVC), ranked No. 5 in the Great Lakes Region, held a 1-0 halftime lead on a goal by Dan O'Leary (Rory Leach assist) at 18:15.

Lewis (11-1-1, 4-1-1 GLVC) got five saves from goalkeeper Jordan Gustman.

The Flyers host sixth-ranked Southern Illinois Edwardsville Sunday at noon in a crucial game that has conference and regional implications. Lewis is tied for second in the Great Lakes Region and tied for third in the GLVC, while SIUE tops the region poll and the GLVC standings (6-0).
