ALLENDALE, Mich. -
Threes were raining in buckets for the Lewis University women's basketball team at the Sleep Inn Classic hosted by Grand Valley State.

The Flyers closed the half blistering the nets with 7-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc.
However, Michigan Tech's Andrea Novak scored 22 of her 34 points in the second half and MT (3-0) was able to come away with a 81-74 victory over the Flyers (1-2).
Buchholz added a sixth 3-pointer in the second half and closed the game with a team-best 22 points. Freshman Mary Moskal (Cherry Valley, Ill./Rockford Boylan) added 16 points, including 10 from the free throw line, and a team-high seven rebounds.
Freshman Brittney Diener (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac) consistently found open teammates and placed them in a position to score often as she recorded eight assists with zero turnovers. She also contributed eight points and five rebounds.
Lewis will face local rival St. Francis Tuesday, November 25. The Flyers host the Saints at 5:30 p.m.
