Senior Lisa Paasch played the match of her career and helped Lewis rebound from a disappointing loss to Saint Joseph's the day before, as Lewis beat Indianapolis in five games October 4.
Indianapolis (15-8, 5-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference) entered the match tied atop the league standings, but the Flyers (11-6, 3-2 GLVC) came away with a 14-30, 28-30, 33-31, 30-20, 15-8 victory.
Paasch recorded a career-high 23 kills and hit .422 to lead the Flyers to the thrilling win. The senior outside hitter also posted 16 digs and four blocks.
Rory Harrison added 14 kills and six blocks, including four solo blocks, to help the Lewis cause.
Setter Abby Hodge passed out 57 assists and had a team-high 22 digs for the Flyers.
Indianapolis was led by the 33-kill performance of Shaun McAllister.
The win keeps Lewis in third place in the GLVC's Blue Division. The team will next host Southern Indiana October 10 at 7 p.m.
