ROMEOVILLE, Ill.--Two-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year Jessica Stuckman carried Quincy past the Lewis University women's basketball team in conference action Thursday night.

Stuckman, who scored 30 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in the team's meeting earlier this year, tallied a career-high 39 points and had nine rebounds as she pushed conference-leading Quincy past Lewis 67-51. Stuckman was 14 of 18 from the field and 8 of 8 from the free-throw line. In addition, she netted 25 of her points in the second half.

Lewis (7-8, 4-4 GLVC) trailed 29-23 at halftime, but quickly closed that gap early in the second half. The Flyers drew within two points in the first minute of the half, but could never tie the game and Quincy went on to pull away down the stretch.

The Flyers were led by Mary Moskal (Cherry Valley, Ill./Rockford Boylan)'s team-high 16 points. Erin Cox added 12 points and a team-best seven rebounds.

Lewis forced 19 Quincy turnovers and outrebounded them 32-29, including 17 offensive boards, but the Hawks (10-5, 7-1 GLVC) shot 51.2 percent from the field compared to Lewis' 32.2 percent mark.

Lewis will host Missouri-St. Louis in GLVC action Saturday, Jan. 15. Tip-off is 1 p.m.
