Box Score

ROMEOVILLE - Cathal Brady (Dublin, Ireland/St. Peters College Dunboyne)'s goal with less than one minute to play in the first half Sunday proved to be the difference in the Lewis University men's soccer team's 2-1 Great Lakes Valley Conference win over Indianapolis.

Brady's goal, assisted by Gavin Grogan, was his team-leading eighth of the season. He gathered the rebound of Grogan's hard shot that hit the crossbar and fired the ball past Indianapolis goalkeeper Matt Spaulding at the 44:04 mark.

Lewis (8-7, 6-5 GLVC) took a 1-0 lead when TIto Lara collected a loose ball and banged it home at 30:16 for his fourth goal of the season.

Indianapolis (8-5-2, 4-5-2) cut the Lewis lead in half at 55:09 when Eric Nance, assisted by Nick Eddy, registered his team-high sixth goal of the year. But the Flyers, playing their final GLVC home game of the season, turned away the Greyhounds the rest of the way to run their home record to 7-1.

Lewis wraps up conference play on the road next weekend, traveling to Kentucky Wesleyan Friday and to Southern Indiana Sunday.
