Darcee Schmidt scored a season high 18 points, but it wasn't enough for the Flyers as they fell to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, 103-53 Saturday afternoon.
Schmidt was 7-of-13 from the field, including 1-for-3 from 3-point range to lead the Flyers' offense. Jackie Waller added a career-best 10 points in 14 minutes of action off the bench.
After a 4-0 start to the game by the Phoenix, Lewis climbed back to take a 9-8 lead at the 14:23 mark of the first. It was the only lead of the game for the Flyers. Wisconsin-Green Bay used a 12-0 run to re-take the lead, and they ended the half up 47-25.
The Phoenix continued their domination in the second half, shooting an impressive 69 percent from the field to pull away from the Flyers.
Nicole Soulis and Natalie Berglin each scored 16 points to pace the Phoenix.
The Flyers went 6-for-9 from the foul line and grabbed 14 rebounds, while the Phoenix made 15-of-17 at the stripe and brought down 42 boards.
The Flyers resume play on Tuesday when they take on Lake Superior State in the Ferris State Tournament.
