LEMONT, Ill. — The 45th annual Lewis Athletics Golf Outing was a sold-out success on Friday at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, bringing together alumni, sponsors, and supporters for a memorable day of golf — and a big win for Flyer Athletics.
Despite rain clouds looming for most of the day, the weather held steady with minimal wind, allowing for ideal playing conditions across the 18-hole scramble.
Leading wire-to-wire, the team of Troy, Janski, and Roth carded an impressive -16 to take home the grand prize. Hot on their heels throughout the day were two strong groups: the team of Sindt, Webster, Chura, and Kelleher who finished second, while Davidowski, Chopra, Abbatacola, and Dietzler claimed third in a tightly contested leaderboard.
The annual event supports the Flyer Athletics Fund, which directly benefits Lewis University's 23 athletic programs and more than 450 student-athletes.
"What a great day to celebrate our Flyer student-athletes," said John Ashaolu, Assistant Vice President for Athletics. "We're incredibly thankful to all of our sponsors and golfers who came out to support our coaches, student-athletes, and the entire athletics department. We've had a fantastic year, and this outing is the perfect way to close the chapter on this season and turn our focus to what's ahead."
Dates for the 2026 Golf Tournament will be announced later this fall. Stay tuned to LewisFlyers.com for updates and more information.
