INDIANAPOLIS - Kevin Jakubauskas picked up his team-leading fourth victory of the season Wednesday, a 4-2 triumph over Indianapolis in game one of a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader.

Indianapolis came back to win 8-2 in the nightcap.

Jakubauskas (4-7) went the distance in the seven-inning contest and allowed eight hits and just one walk while striking out four. He was touched for single runs in the third and fifth innings, but his teammates responded immediately both times with two-run efforts in the fourth and sixth.

In the fourth, the Flyers tallied two unearned runs on a two-out throwing error. The two sixth-inning runs also were unearned and came on Jon Guzzo (Oak Lawn, Ill./Richards)'s suicide squeeze bunt and Gregg Degen (Tinley Park, Ill./Tinley Park)'s two-out single.

Brian Clancy was 2-for-3 to lead the Flyers' eight-hit attack.

Lewis (10-40, 8-28) was limited to four hits in game two including a double by Kevin Tyrrell.

The Flyers took a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Andy Radak led off with a single and, following Tyrrell's sacrifice, Guzzo walked. After the runners moved up on a wild pitch, Clancy's ground ball to second base scored Radak and Sam Sacco (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard South)'s two-out single plated Guzzo.

But the Greyhounds (21-33, 14-26) scored four runs in the third and added two runs in the fourth and two in the seventh.

Lewis concludes the season at home this weekend, hosting GLVC doubleheaders against Quincy Saturday and Sunday. Game time both days is noon.
