LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Lewis University women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to four matches with a 3-1 victory on the road against Bellarmine.
Junior Sarah McKinney led the Flyers with 14 kills while adding nine assists and nine digs. She also hit .275 (14k-3e-40att).
Lewis (11-4, 4-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference) dropped the first game 22-30 after hitting just .029, but then rebounded to win the next three games 30-21, 30-22, 30-28. Bellarmine falls to 6-8 overall and 3-4 in the GLVC with the loss.
Junior Theresa Nugent added 13 kills and 14 digs. Freshman Aubrey Dondlinger tallied 10 kills, while sophomore Jenna Sayers had nine kills and a team-high five blocks. Setter Andrea Morrone handed out 41 assists and had 12 digs.
Lewis, who sits in second place in the GLVC, will face third-place Northern Kentucky (15-4, 4-2 GLVC) at 2 p.m. Saturday.
