Flyers Breeze By Parkside, 3-0

KENOSHA, Wis. - Charisse Steckling (Burlington, Wis./Burlington)'s .588 hitting performance led the Lewis Flyers to a dominating 30-14, 30-21, 30-23 win over the Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers, Tuesday evening in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match.

The Flyers improved to 18-5 (12-2) and won for the 10th time in their last 11 matches. The Rangers fell to 6-17 (3-11).

Steckling's effort included 11 kills with just one error, three block assists and two service aces. Stephanie Sagat added nine kills, and Kim Richards and Sarah McKinney each had six. Lauren Hatter led Lewis with 14 kills, and Sagat added 11.

The Flyers hit .339 for the match and recorded 10 blocks, while the Rangers attack was virtually non-existent. Wisconsin-Parkside hit .008 and managed only three blocks. The Rangers' hitting percentage was the lowest by a Lewis opponent this season.

The Flyers return to action this weekend, in the final homestand of the season. Lewis hosts Northern Kentucky on Friday at 7:00 pm. for Senior Night and Bellarmine on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
