Stephanie Sagat hit .500 with 17 kills as the Lewis Flyers swept the Bellarmine Knights 30-22, 30-25, 30-24, Saturday afternoon at Neil Carey Arena in the Flyers' final conference match of the season.
The Flyers improved to 20-5 (14-2), cementing the team's best conference win total since the 1995 season. The Flyers reached the 20-win plateau for only the third time in the last 15 seasons. Bellarmine dropped to 10-11 (5-8).
Sagat's day also included 10 digs and two service aces. Theresa Nugent contributed 14 kills with eight digs, and Lauren Hatter posted a match-best 14 digs.
Chelsea Bibelhauser paced the Knights' attack with 17 kills. Amanda Alvey had 10 digs. Former Mother McAuley standout Cori O'Neil had 11 kills for the Knights.
The Flyers hit .286 compared to .132 by the Knights. Bellarmine edged Lewis in total blocks, 7-6. The Flyers had seven ace serves, while limiting the Knights to just four.
Lewis plays at Saint Xavier on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
