Drew Pickering hit a season-best .520, totaling 16 kills for the Flyers in a 3-0 loss to No. 11 Penn State, Saturday night in a non-conference match.
The Flyers fell to 10-16, while Penn State improved its ledger to 17-7 for the season.
Pickering led Lewis in kills and also tallied six digs, three block assists and two aces. Billy Sahagian followed up his .727 hitting performance from a night ago with a strong .444 showing with nine kills.
Both Mykolai Zerebeckyj and David Kelnhofer nailed six kills, while Alex Vigansky hit five with four block assists. Nick Perakes added six digs.
The duo of Matt Proper (16) and Alex Gutor (10) paced Penn State with a combined 26 kills.
The Flyers return home for their final two matches of the season beginning with a showdown with Loyola Chicago on Tuesday at 7 pm.
