ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Cory Mastey scored a late goal to lift the Lewis University men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Southern Indiana in Friday's Great Lakes Valley Conference opener for both teams.

Mastey's goal, his second of the season, came at the 73:40 mark and was assisted by goalkeeper Anthony Szymel. It kept the Flyers undefeated at 3-0, while USI fell to 1-1.

Lewis dominated play, earning advantages of 24-1 in total shots, 17-1 in shots on goal and 6-1 in corner kicks.

The Flyers host Kentucky Wesleyan in another GLVC contest Sunday at noon.
