Mykolai Zerebeckyj hit .560 and registered a match-high 17 kills to lead the Lewis Flyers to a 30-18, 30-22, 25-30, 30-23 win over Clarke Saturday night in a non-conference match.
Lewis improved to 6-0 for the first time since the 1998 season, and head coach Dan Friend recorded his 99th win as a men's coach.
Zerebeckyj's 17 kills were a season high and just three shy of his career high. He also led the team with five digs and posted a solo block. Other top attackers for the Flyers were Nathan Klaas with 16 kills and Billy Sahagian with 10. Klaas hit .458, registering career highs in kills and hitting percentage.
Drew Pickering nailed eight kills, served a career-best four aces and had dour digs. Zak Krumlinde had five kills and David Kyner added four.
Lewis hit .387 (65-22-111) compared to .213 (40-21-89) by Clarke.
The Flyers resume play on Sunday, facing Quincy at 2 pm.
